Donations for our op shop are always appreciated as this assists people in need and also contributes to our ongoing fundraising efforts.

We assist many people with food items.  Donations of food are always welcome.  Another item that is in demand is sleeping bags.

We need donations of toys, vouchers and foods for our annual Christmas appeal. 

We are also in need of pet food for clients.

DONATE FINANCIALLY

We are always in need of cash donations to keep our service running and to continue to assist those in need in a flexible way.

DRERS is an incorporated association (ABN 80 454 546 928) which has a Deductable Gift Recipient status from the ATO. Wow!

What that means for you is that any donation you make to DRERS over $2.00 is deductible on your tax return.

You can donate by:

  • online through the GiveNow website:
  • direct deposit – BSB 633-000 Account # 140850967 – please email us your contact details for us to provide you a receipt.
  • snail mail a cheque made out to DRERS to PO Box 744, Belgrave Vic 3160. Please make sure you leave your contact details with your cheque for us to provide you a receipt.

VOLUNTEER WITH US

 

From time to time we need volunteers to help with our programs.  Our emergency relief volunteers help clients by providing a confidential consultation, and then using our resources and referrals to provide the best assistance possible. Emergency relief volunteers are provided with training and support to be able to provide the service. We have volunteers helping at our op shop for either half day shifts or for the full day.  We also have volunteers helping at our drop in centre catering to patrons with food and conversations.

We have many volunteer roles in our organisation, such as directly assisting clients, helping with our school breakfast program and making lunches in our drop in centre. Our organisation runs on Christian values, and we welcome everybody.
